On Nov. 5, the Department of War's Office of Strategic Capital announced a $250 million conditional loan commitment with 6K, Inc. to scale NMC cathode production in Jackson, Tennessee. The release says this would catalyze an additional $250 million in private capital, that the U.S. produces less than 1% of its NMC cathode needs domestically, and that more steps are required before financial close.
On Nov. 5, the Department of War's Office of Strategic Capital announced a $75 million conditional loan commitment with Halo Industries, Inc. to scale silicon carbide semiconductor wafer production. The release says the commitment crowds in an additional $75 million in private capital and supports manufacturing in Santa Clara, California. Halo must complete remaining steps before financial close.
On Nov. 4, the Department of War said DRPM-UxS has fielded over 25,000 autonomous and counter-unmanned systems to U.S. Central Command this year, through an investment of approximately $782 million. The release lists over 1,300 one-way attack UAVs and over 100 unmanned surface and underwater vessels, plus more than 24,000 counter-UAS systems through Joint Interagency Task Force 401.
